In the summer of 2011 the Green Prom Movement Foundation was created by Tobie Roberts and with the help of her mother, Michelle Roberts, it blossomed.

The Green Prom Movement Foundation does so much more than any other closet. It creates custom gowns free of charge. All of our custom dresses are made from previously donated dresses that have gone out of style.

With all the positivity surrounding our mission we decided to open the prom closet to all girls and have made our inventory available to anyone who would like to be apart of our journey to a healthier and cleaner prom.

In 2015 we hosted our first Fashion Show in Ottawa, Kansas and quickly spread to include other cities around Kansas and Missouri in 2016 and 2017.

What may have started out as a prom closet for a small town has now turned into a nation wide prom closet. We hope with the help of you and many other donors that we can continue our expansion and truly give girls a one of a kind prom experience.
